SLink – Information Centre!

Welcome to the SLink Help and Information Centre!

Thank you for your purchase.

What you will find within the SLink Help Centre

1 – Go to Edit – Preferences – Graphics and ensure there is a tick in the custom box of the graphics tab.  Once the custom option is open, you should see down the bottom of the graphics tab the options to see Sun and Moon only, or Nearby Local Lights.
Check the Sun and Moon Only Option.  This will stop local lighting from having any effect on the tinting process.
2 – Go to world – Environment Settings, Environment Editor to open the advanced Lighting settings.  Open Advanced Sky and go to the “lighting” tab.
Set your lighting up using the following image as a guideline
- Sun moon position at 0
-East Angle at 0 or 1.
-Scene Gamma between 1 and 2.

Hi Helma, the hairstyles are in the mainstore on the top level (as at 31 october 09) but I am rebuilding my store soon so hopefully everything will be much easier to find with the new layout :)

Hi Lace, I hadn’t planned to update the HUD’s of the older feet, but I will see if it’s possible in my work schedule :)

Hi, would you consider please making these for men, your larger sizes don’t seem to fit the male avatars very well, thanks.

the toenails look like pointy claws!!!!Was this a momentary sl glitch or is there a way to set length??
    Thanks!

    • Siddean November 17, 2009 at 6:34 PM Reply

The toenails on the Exotix feet are claws. The Exotix are for furries!! Please IM me (Siddean Munro) inworld to sort this out, as it sounds like you have the wrong set.

  5. AVenina Blackheart December 8, 2009 at 3:56 PM Reply

I purchased the Pied Barefeet & also got the Exotix in error. The vendor does not show these or in any way describe them as being for furries & in fact the demo shows very normal, human feet. I’m thinking there’s something wrong with the vendor delivery because it’s delivering the furries barefeet (which are sexy for furries I would imagine), but I bought the Pied Barefeet Tiptoe from the correct vendor, just got the wrong product delivered.

Otherwise the quality of the product is wonderful, just want normal, human feet :)

    • Siddean December 9, 2009 at 1:14 AM Reply

I checked the vendors and they all contain the right feet, so I’m not certain how you ended up with the wrong set. In any case, I sent through a copy of the human feet and in future will be moving the exotix vendor far, far away from the normal vendor. :)

Hi, is there a way to take the scripts out of your shoes and feet? I am glogging up sims and find it hard to tp when i wear them

    • Siddean February 18, 2010 at 10:31 PM Reply

The scripts will be updated in the near future and the updates will be sent out when they are completed. The new script system will be a lot more lag friendly. Currently, you can’t remove the scripts from the feet.

  7. Winky Wobbit February 24, 2010 at 6:55 PM Reply

Would be nice to have a kill script pair along with the regular ones. Some hair places are doing that now and I think it is brillent. Love your feet!

    • Siddean March 8, 2010 at 1:04 AM Reply

The feet will be updated shortly to include far fewer scripts so leaving the scripts in won’t cause issues with teleporting. Anyone who has purchased a set of feet will receive an updated set.

    • Siddean May 14, 2010 at 2:37 PM Reply

Hi Diana, the jewels are changeable through the HUD that is included with the Miklaela, there are gold and silver coloured jewels available on that HUD. Also send this by IM inworld :)

If you could include direct imput in the color hud it would be awesome.
or perhaps a color chart that is more like the one that photoshop uses

    • Siddean June 12, 2010 at 11:11 PM Reply

You can already directly input the colour into the feet, the information on how to do this is contained in the info notecards, as well as the help centre, and is the same for all Slink feet products. The input command is /13 skin red, green, blue where red, green, blue is the numbers of the RGB value you want to input. The layout of the colour palette is not going to change, it’s determined by the script I am using, not my choice.

I bought a set of additional nail colors for my new pair of feet (very nice, btw, thank you very much!)…but I don’t know how to add them to the HUD.

Also, I accidentally bought a pair of the child bare feet at the Shoe Fair…THEN found the adult woman’s. Can I exchange the child feet for something else in your store or do you do refunds?

    Thanks!
    Mir

  14. Mirendel Courtois August 13, 2010 at 2:36 PM Reply

whoohooo, just figured out how to do the new nail colors – nice! Now just the question about the pair of child feet to go.

  15. Daun Sands July 16, 2011 at 1:39 PM Reply

Getting pretty bothered trying to match the barefeet up to my skin. I’ve gone through trying to match by color under cursor. About ready to delete them altogether. #1 reason I try to avoid feet/shoes that are mostly skin. If anyone has any suggestions on matching LAQ’s Peach tone I’d really appreciate the help. The product itself is great btw. I should have started with that. Love the idea. Just beyond irritated at this point.

Hi, we have chatted about this in SL :)

  16. Siuvhne November 23, 2011 at 10:40 PM Reply

Just wanted to say that a friend turned me on to your tiptoe feet and I may never wear shoes again. Also … kudos on adding prim nails that are not “hooker” length with a hud that controls both. Love that the nails and toesies match perfectly! I think I love you <3

      Thank you very much! :D

  17. Feets! December 2, 2011 at 1:55 PM Reply

I find it way to difficult to match your high quality foot skin to other higher quality skins. Would it ever be possible to get a foot skin with very very low detail around the ankle to make it easier to match to body skins?

    • Siddean December 2, 2011 at 3:12 PM Reply

Please contact me inworld to discuss this. Low detail textures on the feet won’t blend well with skins that have high levels of contrast in that area but I have a solution in the form of the ankle blender layer that evens out the skintone and matches with the feet exactly. You didn’t leave your name, so I am going to just hope that you contact me.

  18. Feets! December 3, 2011 at 10:56 AM Reply

Mesh feet are so much easier to use. so much easier to match at the seam. The reason I went with the older sculpted set was because I hate everything Viewer 2 looking. I wish those Pheonix people would get that Mesh rendering port into a version of Phoenix. Using Cool VL for now, it’s a good Viewer but I’ve come to prefer Pheonix. The other issue is, because so many people do use phoenix.. My new feet still won’t work for most of the people in SL that would be looking at me (as Phoenix is the most popular client..)… C’mon Phoenix get us Mesh!

    • Siddean December 3, 2011 at 5:55 PM Reply

According to the guys over at the Phoenix viewer team, the mesh import for Phoenix is just around the corner, now that the Firestorm official release is done! Have you tried the Viewer 3 latest release? the UI is very much improved over the early viewer 2 and the starlight skins that are available can change the look of the viewer quite a lot! If it’s been a while since you’ve checked out the official viewer, now might be a good time to have another look :) Provided your computer can handle it, that’s another story again! Anyway, I am very glad you are enjoying your new feet and it hopefully won’t be long before certain TPV users can see them as well :)

Hi, i realy love the shoes you make and i bought the multipack of the glitter peeptoes. I just have the problem that the Main Hud doesnt tell me that it is “ready for action”. it does not even give me the sigh “Initialising, please wait…” as the other huds do.
Therefor i cant change the skin-color any more. Can you please help? I dont know what to do.

    • Siddean July 29, 2012 at 10:48 PM Reply

Just grab a new copy of the HUD from the demo, or out of the box if you haven’t thrown it out. You can also get a new copy of the box from the redelivery vendor.

    Hi there!

I was wondering whether the Nicolette hair style will be available at the shop and/or marketplace.

    Thank you :)

Nicolette is available in the Slink Store

  22. Beolas Whitfield July 10, 2013 at 8:11 AM Reply

love your male feet mesh. just an idea: after recoloring the feet it would be great to have “delete” button for the scripts, so i can use the feet without them. you know: to fight lag, reduce scripts (near others). maybe we can have an update one time. near that: wonderful feet :). greetings

    • Siddean July 26, 2013 at 4:50 PM Reply

There is a lot of information on how to use the hands, packaged in with the hands themselves and on the page available when you wear the “wear me” information board which leads you to here You have not left your SL name for us to contact. Please IM Slink Resident inworld for assistance.

Melly please go to the Slink Mainstore and pick up your update. The HUD is much easier to use and should resolve your issue, if you haven’t already!
